If you are traveling from a distance to visit our shop, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make an appointment. This will guarantee our availability; we want to be able to devote our full attention to helping you find the best recumbent for your needs.
A short test ride will give you a sense of the fit and general feel of a trike or bike, but true evaluation of any recumbent will reveal itself after owning it and riding for sometimes as much as several hundred miles. At Backcountry Recumbent Cycles (BRC), we will do our best to help you custom fit and accessorize your choice so that the fit will be as close to perfect as possible.
If you are shopping for a trike or bike for loaded, self-supported touring, it makes a big difference to do a test ride with a rack and panniers loaded with the approximate weight load you intend to use for touring. Our location in Bend has a variety of flat-to-mountainous quiet roads to test your options over varied terrain.
